First Annual Renegade Bash Friday April 4 03/18/08 Team Press Release The Alabama Renegades, Huntsvilleʼs only full-contact womenʼs football team, will be hosting the first annual Renegade Bash Friday, April 4 at Partners, located at 627 Meridian Street, Huntsville. The Bash begins at 7:30pm and there is a $5 door charge with proceeds from the event going towards funding field, travel, and equipment costs for the team. Renegade merchandise will be on sale as well as advanced tickets for the upcoming 2008 season which begins on April 19, 2008. The Renegade Bash will host a plethora of local music acts who have generously donated their time to help the Renegades. Music acts such as Lindsey Hinkle, Tina & Ali, Layne Weldon, and more will be performing after 8pm. The Renegades will also be hosting a silent auction. Auction items include: Football & photo signed by Demeco Ryans (UA, Houston Texans, 2008 NFL pro-bowl), Signed photo of Kenny King (UA, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens), Signed photo of Karlos Dansby (AU, Arizona Cardinals), Gift baskets from www.prettytough.com (a company dedicated to furthering women's sports), Football signed by morning radio team Rick & Bubba, Renegade items and much, much more! The Alabama Renegades are part of the National Women's Football Association (NWFA). There will be eight games played in the 2008 regular season. The team will travel to Cincinnati, OH, Louisville, KY, Chattanooga, TN, and Pensacola, FL. The NWFA is the largest league in the world for women's full contact football.
